Custom Kitchen Before & After: Making Room for Family and Friends

Increased storage and more room to entertain family and friends topped this Ajax family’s custom kitchen wish list.

These homeowners needed a space that was more open and allowed for additional storage. Top priority in this design was leaving room for a large family table to accommodate all the family dinners and gatherings.

Large drawers and a below-counter microwave allow for additional storage. The bar sink and designated coffee area keep the remainder of the counter clear for food prep.

The removal of the kitchen’s existing peninsula opened up the space, allowing room for a large table.

Chevron tile (Thassos Pearl) from Saltillo adds a touch of glam.

Cambria countertops in Swanbridge provide a marbled background with grays and pinpoints of charcoal.

The bar sink keeps traffic away from the main food prep area.
